The copying procedure is very easy to do yourself at home. There are 2 distinct steps involved, namely copying your original remote control and linking the copied Apache 4All remote control to your receiver unit. Particularly with the older remotes, you only need to do the first step - copying the remote. For newer remote controls that have a rolling code, you must also perform step 2.
1. Copying your original remote into the Apache 4All XP
- Hold down button 1 of the Apache 4All transmitter and simultaneously press button 2 four times.
- Then release the buttons.
- The Apache 4All transmitter's LED will flash slowly (approximately every 2 seconds).
- Hold your original transmitter about 5 centimetres away from the Apache 4All XP.
- Press and hold the button on your original remote until the Apache 4All transmitter's LED flashes faster.
- Then press the button once on the Apache 4All transmitter where you want to save the code.
- The LED will go out. Wait a few seconds and try to open the access point with the new Apache 4All transmitter.
2. Linking your copied Apache 4All XP to your access point
Is your access point not responding to the Apache 4All XP remote you just copied? Then it probably still needs to be linked to the receiver. How exactly this should be done depends on the type of receiver in your installation. In the case of a garage door, the receiver is often located in the cabinet on the ceiling. With a gate, the receiver is often located in the control box next to the gate. The original manual describes how to register with the receiver.

NOTE. The following points are important to consider before purchasing this remote control:
- The Apache 4All XP remote cannot copy low frequencies such as 27MHz or 40MHz
- You must always have a working remote control to copy the code from
- Sometimes, you need access to the receiver to get the new transmitter working. The receiver is the box that receives the transmission signal and then regulates whether the remote control is allowed to open the access point. The receiver is often shielded from public access in shared-ownership garages. In that case, ask the administrator whether your new remote control may be added to the system.
